EC2 Instance family: r8i-flex

CPU Type: Custom Intel Xeon 6 processors (Granite Rapids) with a sustained all-core turbo frequency of 3.9 GHz. Specific Features: Memory-optimized "Flex" instance, designed for workloads that do not fully utilize all compute resources, offering up to 5% better price-performance than R8i and a baseline CPU performance of 40% with the ability to burst to 100% CPU performance 95% of the time over a 24-hour period. It uses DDR5 7200MT/s memory for 2.5x higher memory throughput and features 4.6x larger L3 cache compared to the previous generation. It is built on the AWS Nitro System. Date of Release: August 2025.
