RunsOn Demo License Agreement
Version 2.0 | Effective Date: October 14 2025
1. Definitions
For purposes of this Agreement:
- “Software” means the RunsOn self-hosted GitHub Actions runners software, including all components, documentation, and updates provided by Licensor.
- “Licensee” means the individual or organization using the Software under this demo license.
- “Licensor” means RunsOn and its affiliates providing the Software.
- “Demo Period” means the fourteen (14) day evaluation period beginning on the date of demo license activation.
- “Installation” means a deployed instance of the Software running in an AWS account.
- “GitHub Organization” means a GitHub organization account.
2. License Grant
- Licensor grants Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for evaluation purposes only during the Demo Period.
- This is a trial license provided at no charge to allow Licensee to evaluate the Software’s features and suitability.
- This license is limited to the specific GitHub Organization identified during demo registration.
- Licensee may install the Software only in AWS accounts owned or controlled by Licensee.
3. Demo Period and Limitations
- The demo license is valid for fourteen (14) days from the date of activation.
- During the Demo Period, Licensee has access to the full functionality of the Software.
- The Software may be used only for evaluation, testing, and proof-of-concept purposes.
- The Software may not be used for production workloads or commercial purposes during the Demo Period.
- Upon expiration of the Demo Period, the license automatically terminates and Licensee must cease all use of the Software.
4. No Fee
- No payment is required for this demo license.
- This is a trial license provided at no charge for evaluation purposes only.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
- The Software and all intellectual property rights therein remain the exclusive property of Licensor.
- This Agreement grants Licensee only the limited right to evaluate the Software during the Demo Period.
- Licensee shall not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the proprietary Software components.
- Licensee shall not remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the Software.
6. License Restrictions
- Licensee shall not:
- Sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or distribute the Software to third parties
- Use the Software to provide services to third parties
- Share access credentials or allow unauthorized access to installations
- Use the Software for production workloads during the Demo Period
- Extend or renew the Demo Period without explicit written authorization from Licensor
7. Conversion to Commercial License
- At any time during or after the Demo Period, Licensee may purchase a commercial license (Standard or Sponsorship).
- Upon purchasing a commercial license, the terms of the purchased license will supersede this Demo License Agreement.
- Installations created during the Demo Period may continue to be used under the commercial license terms.
8. Termination
- This license automatically terminates at the end of the Demo Period.
- Licensor may terminate this license immediately if Licensee breaches any terms of this Agreement.
- Upon termination, Licensee must immediately:
- Cease all use of the Software
- Remove all installations
- Delete all copies of the Software and related materials
9. Support
- Basic technical support is provided on a best-effort basis during the Demo Period.
- Support is provided through standard channels during business hours (9 AM - 5 PM CET, Monday through Friday).
- Licensor reserves the right to prioritize support for commercial license holders.
10. Warranty Disclaimer
- THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” FOR EVALUATION PURPOSES WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
- LICENSOR DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OR THAT ITS OPERATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
- LICENSOR REPRESENTS AND WARRANTS THAT THE SOFTWARE PROVIDED UNDER THIS LICENSE DOES NOT AND WILL NOT CONTAIN ANY VIRUS OR OTHER CONTAMINANT, OR DISABLING DEVICES TO THE EXTENT SUCH ISSUES ARE CAUSED BY LICENSOR’S OWN CODE AND NOT BY THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS, LIBRARIES, OR DEPENDENCIES.
- LICENSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY, INTEGRITY, OR PERFORMANCE OF ANY THIRD-PARTY CODE, LIBRARIES, OR DEPENDENCIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THOSE INCLUDED IN EC2 BASE IMAGES (AMIS).
11. Limitation of Liability
- IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
- LICENSOR’S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS DEMO LICENSE SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY EUROS (50€).
- This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability and even if Licensor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
12. Confidentiality
- Licensee acknowledges that the Software contains proprietary and confidential information.
- Licensee shall protect the confidentiality of the Software using reasonable care.
- Licensee shall not publicly disclose performance benchmarks or evaluation results without Licensor’s prior written consent.
13. Data Collection
- Licensor may collect usage data and telemetry during the Demo Period to improve the Software.
- Such data collection is subject to Licensor’s privacy policy.
- No personally identifiable information will be collected without Licensee’s consent.
14. No Transfer
- This demo license is personal to the Licensee and may not be assigned or transferred.
- Each organization or individual must obtain their own demo license.
15. Notices
- All notices shall be in writing and delivered via email.

- Licensee notices to: the email address provided during demo registration
16. General Provisions
- Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of France, excluding conflict of law principles.
- Severability: If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect.
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement regarding the demo license.
- No Agency: This Agreement does not create any agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between the parties.
17. Acceptance
By activating, downloading, installing, or using the Software under this demo license, Licensee acknowledges that it has read this Agreement, understands it, and agrees to be bound by its terms and conditions.
18. Upgrade Path
Upon completion of the Demo Period, Licensee may:
- Purchase a Standard License for continued commercial use at 300€ per year
- Purchase a Sponsorship License for source code access and priority support at 1,500€ per year
- Apply for a Non-Profit License if eligible for qualifying organizations
