Benchmarks for m4.large

CPU benchmark for the m4.large EC2 instance type, as well as the availability, pricing, and spot interruption percentage in various regions.

See the benchmarks for all EC2 instances.

This instance type is available for self-hosted GitHub Actions runners using RunsOn.

EC2 Instance family: m4

CPU Type: Custom Intel Xeon E5-2676 (2.4 GHz) or Intel Xeon E5-2686 v4 (Broadwell) processors, specifically optimized for EC2.

Specific Features: General purpose instance type, offering a balance of compute, memory, and network resources. They are EBS-optimized by default and support Enhanced Networking.

Date of Release: June 2015.

Status: Considered a Previous Generation Instance. Although AWS still supports it, users are encouraged to upgrade to the current generation for better performance. The instance type is scheduled for end-of-life for various Amazon RDS database services.
