Benchmarks for m4.large (AWS)

Individual CPU benchmark results for the AWS EC2 instance type m4.large. The table displays the single-threaded CPU speed as reported by the Passmark benchmark tool, as well as the on-demand, spot pricing, and spot interruption percentage.

See the benchmarks for all EC2 instances.

✅ This instance type is available for self-hosted GitHub Actions runners using RunsOn.

EC2 Instance family: m4

CPU Type: Custom Intel Xeon E5-2676 (2.4 GHz) or Intel Xeon E5-2686 v4 (Broadwell) processors, specifically optimized for EC2.

Specific Features: General purpose instance type, offering a balance of compute, memory, and network resources. They are EBS-optimized by default and support Enhanced Networking.

Date of Release: June 2015.

Status: Considered a Previous Generation Instance. Although AWS still supports it, users are encouraged to upgrade to the current generation for better performance. The instance type is scheduled for end-of-life for various Amazon RDS database services.
