Benchmarks for m6gd.large (AWS)
Individual CPU benchmark results for the AWS EC2 instance type m6gd.large
. The table displays the single-threaded CPU speed as reported by the
Passmark benchmark tool, as well as the on-demand, spot pricing, and spot
interruption percentage.
See the benchmarks for all EC2 instances.

EC2 Instance family: m6gd
The EC2 m6gd instance type is powered by Arm-based AWS Graviton2 processors, which feature 64-bit Arm Neoverse cores and custom silicon designed by AWS for optimized performance and cost. These processors deliver up to 40% improved price/performance compared to the previous generation M5 instances. A key distinguishing feature of the m6gd instances is the inclusion of local NVMe-based SSDs directly connected to the host server, providing high-speed, low-latency block-level storage that is tied to the instance's lifetime, with some configurations offering up to 3.8 TB of NVMe SSD storage.
Furthermore, m6gd instances are built on the AWS Nitro System, which uses a combination of dedicated hardware and a lightweight hypervisor for enhanced performance and security. They also support Enhanced Networking with up to 25 Gbps of network bandwidth and are EBS-optimized by default. The Graviton2 processors in these instances offer always-on 256-bit DRAM encryption and 50% faster per-core encryption performance. The M6gd instance type, along with C6gd and R6gd instances, was officially released on July 27, 2020.
