Benchmarks for c7gd.large (AWS)
Individual CPU benchmark results for the AWS EC2 instance type c7gd.large
. The table displays the single-threaded CPU speed as reported by the
Passmark benchmark tool, as well as the on-demand, spot pricing, and spot
interruption percentage.
See the benchmarks for all EC2 instances.

EC2 Instance family: c7gd
The EC2 c7gd instance type is powered by custom-built, Arm-based AWS Graviton3 processors, designed for compute-intensive workloads. These instances represent the latest generation of compute-optimized offerings from AWS, providing up to 25% better overall compute performance compared to the Graviton2-based C6g instances. They are also equipped with the latest DDR5 memory, which delivers 50% more memory bandwidth than DDR4, and offer up to 20% higher enhanced networking bandwidth over C6g instances.
Key features of the c7gd instances include local NVMe-based SSDs that are physically attached to the host server, offering block-level storage with up to 45% better real-time NVMe storage performance compared to their Graviton2 counterparts. They are EBS-optimized by default and support Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) on larger instance sizes for applications requiring high inter-node communication. The Graviton3 processors also boast up to 2x higher floating-point performance, 2x faster cryptographic workload performance, and up to 3x better performance for machine learning workloads, including bfloat16 support. Furthermore, Graviton3 processors are more energy-efficient, using up to 60% less energy for the same performance. The C7gd instances were generally made available on July 27, 2023.
